Welcome to the Maricopa County Elections Department. Supported by the Maricopa
County Board of Supervisors and Recorder’s Office, we help residents in the nation’s
fastest growing county exercise their right to vote by administering elections for cities,
towns, school districts and special districts. Stay informed. Make a Plan. Vote.
Notice: Due to the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” Executive Order by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, the Maricopa County Elections Department is closing front counter services in Phoenix and Mesa until further notice.
Candidates filing for public office may still make an appointment for in-person acceptance of filings at our MCTEC office only. The Mesa office, located at 222 E. Javelina, is closed except to accept candidate filings on Monday, April 6 from 1-5 p.m.
Precinct Committeemen may drop off their completed forms at the MCTEC Ballot Drop Box. It has 24-hour access and is located in the parking lot at 510 S. 3rd Ave. in Phoenix. Staff will check the drop box until the filing deadline on Monday, April 6 at 5 p.m.
Additionally, the MCTEC public voter registration terminals will now be limited to no more than five people at a time to ensure proper physical distancing. Call (602) 506-5119 to reserve a two-hour window.
