Maricopa County Recorder’s Office Issues Important
November 3 General Election Reminders

PHOENIX, AZ — The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office is reminding voters of key dates and important information for the upcoming November 3, 2026, General Election.

Important Election Dates and Information:

  • October 5 is the last day to register to vote for the General Election. Voters can register to vote at Register.Maricopa.Vote.
  • October 7 is when early ballots are mailed, and early voting officially begins for the November 3 General Election. Ballot packets will be mailed to all Maricopa County voters on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) and those who requested a one-time ballot-by-mail. Please allow at least a week to receive your early ballot.
  • October 23 is the last day to request a replacement ballot by mail for the November 3 General Election.
  • October 27 is the last recommended day to mail back an early ballot.
  • November 3 is Election Day! All ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. (Arizona Time) on Election Day. Please note that postmarks do not count. Voters can also drop off their ballot at any secure ballot drop box until 7:00 p.m. on November 3. If you are in line at a Vote Center before 7:00 p.m. on November 3, you can still vote.
  • Voters can visit Locations.Maricopa.Vote to find a convenient Drop Box or Vote Center, along with operating hours and directions.

Additional Reminders:

  • Maricopa County early voters have a new option called ID Verify! Voters can now check in at a Vote Center, show a valid ID (example: AZ Driver’s License), and have their ballot envelope stamped as ID Verified. The new process allows voters to bypass Signature Verification and get their ballot to tabulation faster. On Election Day, voters can show a valid ID at a Vote Center, get their ballot envelope ID Verified, and then tabulate their ballot on-site.
  • Remember: Only the voter can sign the outside of their green affidavit envelope before mailing it or dropping it off at a secure drop box or Vote Center. Voter signatures are key to how election officials verify a voter’s identity.
  • Voters can track their ballot by texting JOIN to 628-683 to receive real-time updates via text and/or email.
  • State law provides voters with questionable signatures a period after the General Election to resolve the issue. Impacted voters must verify their signature by 5:00 p.m. on November 8, 2026.
  •  Voters can also visit BeBallotReady.Vote to review their voter information, check the status of their ballot, and sign up for ballot tracking text or email alerts.

Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap is available for media interviews to discuss the new ID Verify voting option and highlight key dates, deadlines, and other important information for the upcoming General Election.
